14 objections were raised by two Election Commissioners on the process of revising voter lists in the Election Commission of India.

According to the investigative report of the Indian media, the two election commissioners raised formal objections on the actions of the commission 14 times during the last 10 months.

The objections were related to the procedure for registration of new voters, delisting and re-admission of voters, the two commissioners also objected to the change made in online Form 6 for new voters.

The form asked whether the name of the new voter, his parents or grandparents was in the old voter list.

According to the report, there was no mark to make the question mandatory, but the online system had a condition that the form could not proceed without answering.

The protesting election commissioners said that for such a change in Form 6, amendment of the relevant law is necessary.

On the other hand, after the investigation report came out, the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and said that if the Chief Election Commissioner does not resign within 48 hours, protests will be started across the country.
