Faizan Ahmed, a student of GC University Lahore and a member of Felkin Triathlon Club, completed the 1100 km running journey from Lahore to Skardu in 22 days.
Faizan reached Skardu today to complete his long and arduous running challenge, during which he ran from the plains of Punjab to the rugged hilly terrains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Faizan’s journey included many difficult places including Naran, Babusar Top, Chilas and Raikot, where he faced long distances, climbs, difficult routes and different weather conditions. During the 22-day running, Faizan covered a total distance of 1100 km.
Faizan made his running journey in the name of the martyrs of the armed forces and police of Pakistan and paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. Faizan also highlighted the message of awareness against the use of drugs through running and emphasized the importance of keeping the youth safe from the harms of drugs.
During his journey, Faizan also conveyed the message of anti-drug awareness to the various populations and communities along the way.
