Former West Indies captain Vivian Richards says that legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring the most runs in the history of Test cricket can be broken.

Vivian Richards expressed his views in ‘Test Match Special’ and said that if Joe Root continues to play like this for England, he has a good chance of breaking Tendulkar’s record.

He said that Joe Root is in a good position at the moment and must try to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record.

If Vivian Richards manages to break Joe Root Tendulkar’s record, it will be a huge honor for him and it will also send a message that the best batsman to come out of Yorkshire is not Geoffrey Boycott but Joe Root.

It should be noted that England’s star batsman Joe Root has so far scored 14,208 runs in 307 Test innings and he is not far from former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 15,921 runs.
