Seeking help from the provinces for the security of Islamabad

The federal government sought help from the provinces for the security of Islamabad.

The cabinet secretary has written to the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan and has called for a total of 23,500 police personnel from the three provinces.

In this regard, the Cabinet Division issued a notification for the availability and deployment of police personnel from the provinces.

According to the notification, 15,000 policemen should be sent from Punjab, 8,000 from Sindh and 500 from Balochistan. The three provinces will deploy the policemen in Islamabad by September 20.
