Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Manwar Ali Mahesar has said that the Sindh Sports Policy has been implemented.

While holding a press conference in Karachi, he said that only those sports associations affiliated to the Sindh Sports Board will be recognized.

Secretary Sports Manoor Ali Mahesar said that the provincial cabinet has approved the sports policy prepared by the sports department.

He said that currently there are 2 or 3 associations of a sport in the province, due to which the sport and the players have always faced problems.

Secretary Sports says that any sports association whether it is affiliated to POA or federation or Pakistan Sports Board, we will recognize it which will be affiliated to Sindh Sports Board.

He says that the Sindh Sports Policy is a comprehensive framework for the development of sports. ‘Sports for all’ is the basic principle of the Sindh Sports Policy. Under the 18th Amendment, the Sindh Government has the power to legislate in sports.

Deputy Director Sports Asad Ishaq, who was present on the occasion, said that under the leadership of Sports Minister Sardar Bakhsh Mehr and the guidance of Secretary Munori Ali Mahesar, the problems will be solved with the new sports policy and multi-purpose sports complexes, academies and sports cities will be established in every division of Sindh.

He said that participation in physical education and sports has been made mandatory in educational institutions.

Chief Engineer Aslam Maher said that sports science centers and biomechanics labs will be established in Sindh, monthly stipends, educational scholarships and insurance facilities will be provided for the players.

He says that there will be special measures for the promotion of women, special athletes and pink games, Olympic and non-Olympic sports have been included in the Sindh Sports Policy.
