Chief of Defense Staff and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was met by the Speaker of the Parliament of Maldives Abdul Rahim Abdullah in the GH meeting.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces, ISPR, matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

According to ISPR, the field marshal expressed his resolve to further strengthen relations for the mutual benefit of both countries.

On this occasion, Maldivian Speaker Abdul Rahim Abdullah appreciated the constructive role of Pakistan in promoting regional peace and stability and expressed his desire to increase bilateral relations and increase cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s determination to further promote brotherly relations with Maldives.
