Behind her eyes It follows a mother, Louise (Simona Brown), who is having an affair with her boss psychiatrist, David (Tom Bateman)… all while secretly befriending his wife. It’s not just a love triangle she finds herself in, but a twisted web of secrets, games, and lies where no one is who they seem.

Agatha Christie’s Seven Faces (2026)

Over the years, the “Queen of Crime”, Agatha Christie, has told and retold her stories countless times. The most popular modifications include Murder on the Orient Express, And then there was no oneand Death on the Nile. In 2026, Netflix released an adaptation of one of its lesser-known stories, The Seven Faces Puzzle. Adapted for television by the former Doctor Who From showrunner Chris Chibnall, this 3-episode miniseries takes some creative liberties from the original story, but still tells the entire mystery.
The series stars Mia McKenna Bruce, who plays cunning young detective Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, who uses ingenuity and intelligence to uncover the mystery behind the murder of Jerry Wade (Corey Melchrest). The supporting cast is particularly star-studded, with Iain Glen and Helena Bonham Carter playing Lord and Lady Caterham respectively. Martin Freeman also takes part as Christie’s legendary detective, Superintendent Battle, who investigates the case amidst Bundle’s investigations.
Agatha Christie’s Seven Faces It presents a mystery that wants you to stick around until the end to see how it will be solved. It’s fun, it’s fascinating, and it’s completely enjoyable right from the start. The real star here is Mia McKenna-Bruce, who gives an exceptional performance as Bundle.
Bodyguard (2018)

Although it was rebroadcast in 2018, there are still discussions about continuing the series, although nothing has been achieved so far. Both Mercurio and star Richard Madden have considered returning to continue David Budd’s story, but conflicting issues are among the main reasons why another season has not been ordered. However, the first season is ideally considered a limited series.
Dracula (2020)

Over the years, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have proven to be a powerhouse duo on British television. Netflix and the BBC have collaborated on a number of brilliant, high-profile dramas over the years. It spans some of the oldest and greatest co-productions The last kingdom, Water ship downand Troy: The fall of the city. In this list we point out Guarantees (2018) as one of the best examples of the Netflix-BBC partnership.
Guarantees It brings together a heavyweight cast of beloved British actors. Carey Mulligan (Promising young woman, meat) leads the series, and other co-stars include Jenny Spark (And the rarest), Nicola Walker (Division), John Simm (Life on Mars), and Billie Piper (Doctor Who).
The 4-part thriller is set in London and covers an area of four days. We follow Detective Inspector Kip Glaspie (Mulligan), who has been put in charge of investigating the shooting of a pizza delivery driver. As she delves into the case, she learns that it wasn’t just a random act of violence, but something more calculated – which is what draws her deeper into London’s dangerous underworld.
Jerry/Haji (2019)

Translate to Duty/disgraceDrama 2019 Jerry/Haji It is another high-profile collaboration between Netflix and BBC. In fact, the series still holds a perfect 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer.
The series takes place in Tokyo and London. Two contrasting cultures, brought together by exceptionally creative cinematography. It’s one of the best looking miniseries. We follow a detective from Tokyo named Kenzo Mori, who travels to London in order to track down his criminal brother Yuto, who is allegedly dead. When Kenzo arrives, his investigation drags him deeper into London’s underworld. It’s tightly plotted and suspenseful, but not without a surprisingly enjoyable sense of humour.
The series stars Takehiro Hira (Shogun), Kelly MacDonald (Lanterns, Discover trains), and Yusuke Kubozuka (Vine dogs).
Jerry/Haji It originally aired on BBC Two in 2019 before making its international debut on Netflix in 2020.
betrayal (2022)

British spy film betrayal It immediately catches the eye thanks to its stellar cast, which includes… reckless Star Charlie Cox and AvatarOona Chaplin. The series is written by Matt Charman, a screenwriter known for his dramatic style hostage (2025) to Bridge of Spies (2015).
At 5 episodes, it’s a busy, fast-paced film that follows MI6 Deputy Chief Mark Lawrence (Cox), who is inadvertently promoted to Head of MI6 after his boss is hospitalised. Then his encounter with a Russian spy makes him question everything: whose side is he really drawn to?

It made a strong debut on Netflix, breaking into the top 10 English-language films with 56.06 million hours watched. It also allowed creator Matt Charman to pursue other thrillers on Netflix, including hostage.

Toxic city It is based on one of the biggest environmental scandals in the UK. The story takes place in Corby, a small English town of about 60,000 people, where industrial neglect has led to countless cases of poisoning. This eventually led to children being born with birth defects. The event was entirely real, and carried out in collaboration with real victims, but many of the stories told in the show were dramatic.
Toxic city Featuring an all-star cast, including Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who, Broadchurch), Claudia Jessie (Bridgerton), Amy Lou Wood (White lotus), Rory Kinnear (bank dev), and Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey).
hostage (2025)

BAFTA Award-winning actress Suranne Jones plays the British Prime Minister in the Netflix political thriller hostage. The series stars Julie Delpy (Before sunrise) Like French President Vivien Toussaint.
The 5-episode miniseries begins at 10 Downing Street, where Prime Minister Abigail Dalton (Jones) meets French President Vivienne Toussaint (Delpy). Despite being newly elected, Dalton faces enormous pressure from her peers and the British public for austerity and cuts to Britain’s National Health Service (NHS). French President Toussaint offered Dalton his assistance, and in return the French people would be stationed on the English border.
Meanwhile, Dalton’s husband Alex Anderson (Ashley Thomas) is arrested while campaigning in French Guiana to provide medical support. His perpetrators use their influence to try to force Dalton to step down as Prime Minister. Otherwise they will kill him.
Fast-paced and throws in constant twists and turns, hostage It was one of the strongest Netflix miniseries of 2025, though it was quickly forgotten. From its tight plot, to the wonderful performances by its stars, hostage It remains a very strong entry in Netflix’s library of limited series – and one of the best shows from the streamer’s British division.

If you want a gritty historical crime thriller with a mind-bending, sci-fi edge, look no further Bodies. The 2023 drama tells a complete story, and it does so in one of the most creative ways. We follow four detectives from four separate eras in history – 1890, 1941, 2023, and 2053 – who each find the same body in the same alley in London. As they investigate and uncover a 150-year-old conspiracy, they realize that the crime scene is much deeper than they could have imagined.
Bodies Featuring an all-star cast, including Shira Haas, Stephen Graham, Kyle Soler, Amanda Okafor, and Jacob Fortune-Lloyd. The series currently holds a very strong 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
