On September 27, the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Constitution of Pakistan announced the withdrawal of the people’s right to rule by force.
The announcement of the meeting chaired by the opposition leader National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai has come out, in which the opposition alliance has decided to call an all-party conference to end the political and economic crisis.
According to the announcement of the opposition alliance, the long march of September 27 will be a peaceful, constitutional and democratic struggle, and on that day, the people’s right to rule will be withdrawn at the expense of the people’s power.
The declaration further said that all democratic political forces should gather on one platform to bring the country out of crisis, responsibilities and committees were formed to coordinate with other political parties.
According to the statement, the meeting discussed the law and order situation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the proposed 28th amendment and the establishment of new provinces.
According to the opposition manifesto, the unrepresentative government has no authority to break up the provinces or divide them into mere administrative units, such proposals are harmful to the federation, national unity and federal structure.
According to the declaration, the provinces can never be deprived of their constitutional right in any referendum or in any other way, the meeting especially emphasized on maintaining the current geographical and administrative status of Sindh.
The statement of the opposition alliance demanded a direct meeting with the PTI founder and the provision of accurate information about his health.
According to the statement, raids on houses of PTI workers, arrests, chadar and violating the sanctity of four walls were condemned in the meeting.
