Foreign ministers of eight Muslim countries held a meeting on Gaza in New York, after which a joint statement was issued. According to the statement, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE expressed their deep concern over the ongoing human tragedy in Gaza in their joint statement.

According to the joint statement, Israeli settlements, occupation of Palestinian lands and demolition of houses should be stopped immediately. Measures of violence, terrorism and forced eviction of the settlers should be withdrawn.
The joint statement said that there is concern about affecting the historical status of Muslim and Christian holy places in occupied Jerusalem. UK and European countries welcome recent moves against Israeli settlements.
The statement called for more effective measures to stop trade from illegal Israeli settlements and said that Gaza must remain an integral part of Palestinian territory.
In the joint statement, the eight countries emphasized the reunification of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza and said that the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state is an irreversible path, supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In the joint statement, they emphasized on achieving sustainable and comprehensive peace in the region through a two-state solution and praised President Donald Trump’s leadership in implementing the comprehensive plan.
According to the statement, the role of the United States is indispensable for the implementation of the comprehensive plan, and the United States should play an active role in fulfilling its obligations to all parties, especially Israel.
