The federal government has decided to bring a system to turn on and off the power transformer.

Talking to the media in the Parliament House, Energy Minister Owais Laghari has said that with the new system, there will be no need to shut down the entire feeder, only the transformer on which the theft occurs will be shut down.

He has said that this is a new concept which is being used all over the world, he will give the regulatory framework of this system by April-May next year, there is no additional load-shedding of electricity in the country.

Owais Leghari says that by changing the net metering system, people have started installing batteries, preventing 3 or 4 lakh people from burdening the remaining 3.5 crore people.
