A footballer from the United Arab Emirates turned his soccer skills into a basketball world record when he heeled the ball into the basket from a distance of 39.37 feet (about 12 meters).
24-year-old Hamid Ali Al-Shahiyy, who has won multiple Guinness World Records awards for his soccer skills, accepted the challenge of setting a record for the longest heel kick into the basket.
He has previously held many records, including the record for kicking a football with his knee 215 times in one minute, the record for covering a distance of 50 meters while continuously kicking a football with his knee in just 10.50 seconds, and the record for touching the football with his knee in one minute while sitting 211 times.
On this occasion, Hamid Ali told Guinness World Records that I wanted to officially record and recognize my football skills, which I achieved through my love for the game and constant hard work.
He further added that my love for football is my main pursuit and I am proud to have the opportunity to represent the Emirates through this achievement.
