On the other hand, the Secretary General of France for Defense and National Security met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ, on this occasion, the security situation in the region, bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and security were discussed in detail. According to the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army, Chief of Defense Forces Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Corps Headquarters Peshawar, he was given a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he was informed about the ongoing counter-terrorism operations and border management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir praised the high morale, readiness and professionalism of the officers and men and appreciated the steadfastness of the officers and men for the protection of the country and the people. The Field Marshal directed the formations to be alert at all times and maintain the highest operational readiness and said that the armed forces are determined to defeat terrorism with the unwavering support of the nation.
