Islamabad (News Reporter): Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reiterated his support for the early adoption of the International Convention on the Right to Development and said that the purpose of development should not be just to create wealth but it should also ensure social development and the protection of human dignity. Addressing the 40th anniversary of the Declaration on Right to Development at the headquarters and talking to journalists. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that under the right to development, every person has the right to seek a better future and every nation has the right to have the necessary resources to build the future. Yes, his message was very important. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the goal of development should not be merely to create wealth, but it should also ensure social development and the protection of human dignity. He said that it is sad to say that today in the developing world, this promise is facing a bitter reality, debt repayment is limiting the financial capacity and using the scarce resources that should have been allocated for human development worldwide. While inequality in technology threatens to shift the old social and economic distance into a new digital era, the Prime Minister said that such a right cannot be transformed into reality unless the means to implement it are provided, hence the need for a proactive and effective strategy.
