Karachi (Rafiq Mangat) Inspector General of the US Department of Defense said in a report presented to Congress that due to the ongoing war against Iran, there is a shortage of ammunition. According to the report, a total of 92 trillion 55 billion rupees (33.4 billion dollars) was spent on Operation Epic Fury from February 28 to June 30, of which 61 trillion 79 billion rupees (22.3 billion dollars) were only ammunition. The report states that this large-scale use has depleted strategic reserves and hampered the industrial system for resupplying ammunition. The US military also suffered heavy losses during the war, including the destruction of four F-15 aircraft, one F-35 aircraft and seven KC-135 tankers, while up to 30 MQ-9 Reaper drones were destroyed. President Trump, on the other hand, dismissed this concern. Hoy said that the United States has an almost unlimited amount of medium and advanced ammunition and the country is ready for any emergency. However, Mark Kenshin, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said that the weapons may be enough for a war against Iran, but in the event of a war with China, the United States will only be able to maintain an adequate supply for one month. An official of a major defense company described the situation as controlled chaos.
