The Trump administration has granted US visas to the Iranian president and foreign minister

The Trump administration has issued US visas to Iran’s President Masoud Al-Maghjian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, among other Iranian officials.

The American TV reported this with reference to the spokesperson of the US Department of State that President Al-Madiqian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi want to go to New York to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

According to American TV, the visas of Iran’s main delegation and essential staff have been approved, but the number of officials in the delegation is less than last year.

Iranian officials will be able to attend the UN General Assembly’s high-level week, but the visit will be subject to travel restrictions and will be subject to certain restrictions, the State Department official said in a statement.

On the other hand, the United States has refused to grant a visa to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to participate in the General Assembly.

It should be noted that the session of the 81st General Assembly is starting from Friday in New York and it will continue till September 28.
