Democrat Senator Chris Murphy has severely criticized US President Donald Trump for calling the ongoing war with Iran a ‘small thing’.

Chris Murphy called Trump ‘dangerously delusional’ and said on social media that 18 Americans have been killed in the war with Iran, US military bases have suffered billions of dollars in damage and the missile stockpile is alarmingly low.

He has said that the rate of farm bankruptcies in America is at record levels, families are struggling to afford $5 a gallon gas, while Iran is stronger than ever.

Chris Murphy scoffed at Trump’s ‘small talk’ comment, saying, “But it’s all small talk, our president is dangerously delusional.”

It should be noted that Trump called the ongoing military action against Iran a ‘small thing’ when asked by a journalist at the White House on Friday.
