A self-proclaimed ‘vampire’ man has been arrested in Britain for killing animals, drinking their blood and dumping the bodies in the woods outside churches.

Benjamin Lewis, 48, stole the cattle of local farmers, killed them and drank their blood.

According to the police, the accused believed that by drinking animal blood he would be able to live forever, escape hell and become a vampire.

Police began surveillance around churches on important religious and satanic calendar dates during an operation called ‘Trap Lewis’, which led to the arrest of the accused.

DNA evidence found on the remains of a lamb helped police track down the accused.

At court, Lewis introduced himself as ‘Count Dracula’.

He pleaded guilty to serious charges, including willful harassment, intimidation, mental torture and cattle theft.

The court ordered that Lewis will be detained in hospital for the time being and a decision on his release will be made after he is declared safe by a mental health tribunal or the Minister of Justice.

The accused also apologized to his victims and thanked the police saying that they did a good job arresting me.

Police Chief Jessica Serman called the case the most unusual case of her career.

They say that every time the strange nature of the case seemed to have reached its climax, a new incident would emerge to make the situation even more surprising.

According to police, Lewis was previously arrested in 2003 for scaring a family by pretending to be a vampire.
