Flight schedules have been affected due to a technical glitch in the air traffic control system of British airports.

According to the report of the news agency, several major airports in the United Kingdom have been affected by the technical failure, flights at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted airports have been affected. Hundreds of flights departing from major UK airports are being delayed.

According to the report, around 100 flights were canceled and 367 delayed at Heathrow Airport. Around 250 flights were also delayed at Gatwick Airport. A technical glitch occurred in the flight processing system of NATS.

Passengers are advised to check their flight status before departure to the airport. Passengers are facing difficulties due to this situation.

NATS engineers are engaged on an emergency basis to resolve the issue. According to the British Civil Aviation Authority, British airspace is open, flights are continuing. It may take some time for normal flights to resume.

Meanwhile, inbound and outbound flights in the London Flight Information Region were restricted. London, Edinburgh, Luton, Birmingham, Glasgow and other airports are also affected.
