Sam Altman, the head of OpenAI, has said that the security agreement between the two major rival powers of the world of artificial intelligence, the United States and China, could be entitled to the Nobel Peace Prize.

In an interview given to the American magazine Fortune, Sam Altman has said that the US and China can agree not to take a certain amount of risks in the development of artificial intelligence.

Instead of a large and complex agreement, he suggested clarifying common security principles and uniform standards for testing artificial intelligence.

Sam Altin says that the matter is not difficult and even a 1-page document may be sufficient for this agreement.

Sam Altman said that the economic and geopolitical competition between the United States and China in the field of artificial intelligence should continue, but both countries can separate from this competition and set common rules to protect the technology.

He linked this possible agreement with the Nobel Peace Prize, saying that such a move could deserve the Peace Prize.

According to international media reports, Sam Altman’s proposal may have political aspects as US President Donald Trump himself has expressed his desire to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

It should be noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping, hosted by Donald Trump, is expected to visit the White House on September 24.

Xi’s visit had already been planned, while Trump’s visit to China, which included a meeting with Xi, was postponed due to the Iran dispute.
