
There has been an important revelation about the quality of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s films.
Ghamasan director Tagmanshu Dhulia has revealed that he first approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead role of a police officer in the film, but the actor did not accept the role.
Tagmanshu Dhulia, who rose to fame by directing the critically acclaimed film ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ in 2012, recalled the conversation with Shah Rukh Khan in a recent interview and said that I narrated the script of the film to Shah Rukh first.
In an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Tagmanshu has said that after hearing the script, Shahrukh Khan told me that Teshu does not do such realistic films.
The director has said that I have known Shah Rukh Khan for a long time, since the time of the film ‘Dil Se’, while Tagmanshu Dhulia also played the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s father in the film ‘Zero’.
On the other hand, actor Arshad Warsi has also supported Shah Rukh Khan’s decision and said in a humorous way that he would prefer to see the superstar in bigger and unusual roles.
The movie ‘Ghamasan’ is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, also starring Arshad Warsi and Prateek Gandhi in lead roles, the movie is going to release on September 11.
