According to foreign media reports, the Chinese president arrived in New Delhi on Saturday afternoon, where he attended the BRICS summit and held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to people directly familiar with the matter, Xi Jinping was feeling tired and unwell due to the time difference, which is why he did not attend the dinner.

Sources say that the Chinese President attended other official engagements after the long flight.

Other BRICS leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the dinner, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of several states were also present on the occasion.
