10 investors and business groups have submitted expressions of interest for the privatization of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (ISCO).

The spokesperson of the Privatization Commission says that 3 Turkish energy companies have expressed their interest in the privatization of ISCO, Pakistan’s business groups have also taken interest in the process of privatization of ISCO.

Adviser on Privatization Muhammad Ali says that the strong response of investors for ISCO is an important milestone in the privatization of DISCOs, the reaction of investors is a reflection of confidence in the potential of Pakistan’s electricity distribution sector.
