A bandit was killed while his accomplice managed to escape during a police encounter in Karachi’s New Karachi Sector 11 I area.

According to the police, when they tried to stop and check the 2 suspects riding a motorcycle, the accused fired at the policeman to escape.

Due to the bullet proof vest, the policemen were safe from firing, while after the retaliatory firing, one accused was arrested with serious injuries, who died while being shifted to the hospital.

The police have seized weapons and a motorcycle from the dead accused.

According to the police, the dead accused has been identified as Meraj alias Mary.

Mir Balaj, the brother of the slain accused Meraj, was killed in an encounter with the police in Nazimabad in 2024, while the father of the accused, Ibrahim, also died after falling from a height during a raid by the law enforcement agency.
