Top officials of Turkey and Qatar have held meetings with the Taliban leadership in Afghanistan to discuss the tension between Pakistan and the Taliban and the security situation.

Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Qalan and Qatari official Hamad bin Khamis al-Kabisi met with the top leadership of the Taliban while they also visited Kandahar.

It should be noted that Pakistan has been demanding action against active armed groups and border security from Afghanistan.

According to the international media, Turkey and Qatar are once again trying to play a role in reducing the tension between Pakistan and the Taliban.
