According to Pakistani intelligence officials, the terrorist network under the auspices of the Indian intelligence agency “RAW”, which is working in coordination with the top leadership of the Afghan Taliban, is using Afghan soil as a launch pad for training, sheltering and financing terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan has maintained for years that India uses Afghan territory to support separatists and militant violence on its soil. Islamabad has repeatedly raised this issue in diplomatic forums and has also presented its evidence through its dossiers. Both India and the Taliban government in Afghanistan have denied all such allegations in the past. But a classified document reviewed by The News this week goes further than that. The document details a fully operational network of what it says is a permanent arrangement between India’s spy agency RAW, Afghanistan’s intelligence system and the top leadership of the Taliban government to provide training, funding and shelter for militant groups operating inside Pakistan. According to Pakistan, proxy groups at the center of the alleged arrangement include the Balochistan Liberation Army and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. According to the document, money, training and shelter are provided to these groups from abroad, with the sole purpose of fomenting unrest and violence in Pakistan. In a more shocking revelation, the document also names the internationally banned Al-Qaeda in the Subcontinent as part of the same alleged network, which has been prepared to carry out attacks on Pakistani soil. According to intelligence gathered by Pakistani security agencies, the alleged nexus of the BLA and TTP emerged around 2025, based on pre-established training camps in Afghanistan.
