The company that made it SAWES Energy Technology Co. Ltd. and its collaboration includes Tsinghua University and other research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The size of this wind turbine is about 60 meters long, 40 meters wide and 40 meters high. It has 12 generator units, each with a capacity of 100 kW. A total of about 1.2 MW of power is generated.

However, the electricity generated by it is transmitted to the ground through a cable wire, as it is not capable of doing so on its own. It has low material and structural costs, is inflatable and does not require a tower or deep foundation like conventional land or sea turbines, reducing structural costs.

These units can be quickly moved to different locations, especially in remote islands, deserts or mining areas. According to the report, this system can reduce materials by about 40% and cost per kilowatt-hour by about 30% compared to conventional land-based turbines.
