Islamabad (Zubair Kasuri) Pakistan Railways has withdrawn the responsibility given to Railway Police for checking passengers traveling without tickets in trains after four days and made it clear that checking tickets of passengers is not included in the jurisdiction and duties of Railway Police, this responsibility belongs to the authorized commercial and ticket checking staff of Railways. Reference has been made to the September 2026 orders, which directed police officers and personnel to be deployed in trains to check ticketless passengers.
