European Council President Antonio Costa has announced his support for the International Criminal Court following US President Trump’s demand to abolish the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Antonio Costa said that he supports the International Court of Justice and will defend its independence, integrity and mandate.

Earlier, US President Trump had made a statement against the criminal court and urged all countries to leave the court.
