US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Andy Burnham have met for the first time on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Trade, immigration and other important issues were discussed in the meeting.

Trump expressed his willingness to take matters forward with the British Prime Minister and said that he has established a good relationship with Burnham and the relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States is much better now.

Trump slammed the Chagos Islands deal, calling it ‘terrible’.

It should be noted that the Chagos Islands Agreement has become an important point of disagreement between the United Kingdom and the United States.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced that he will work with various parties to find a solution to the Chagos Islands Treaty issue, expressing confidence in solving the problem together with American partners.
