Various proposals were reviewed in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the issue of rising prices of petroleum products.

According to sources, the federal government has considered imposing a petroleum smart lockdown.

Sources say that under the lockdown, there is a proposal for four days of work in public and private offices, under which there will be a holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it has also been suggested to reduce transportation.

The formula of government employees working in rotation and three-day closure of markets, reducing working hours are also being considered.

The final decision regarding Smart Lockdown is expected this evening.
