France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States have demanded a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the United Nations Security Council on Iran’s nuclear issue.

IAEA chief Raphael Grossi told the agency’s board of governors that Iran had not provided any information on the status of its declared nuclear material and facilities during the most recent reporting period, while inspectors were also not allowed to visit nuclear facilities for on-site verification.

According to Rafael Grossi, the IAEA’s information continuity on the 60% enriched uranium stockpile in facilities targeted by US and Israeli strikes in June 2025 has been affected for more than a year.

Grossi described the lack of information and access as a concern regarding nuclear proliferation, saying that the situation needs to be corrected urgently and that Iran should restore effective cooperation with the IAEA.

According to Reuters, the four Western countries are trying to get support from the 35-member IAEA board to approve a resolution that would bring Iran back to the UN Security Council after nearly two decades.

On the other hand, Iran has rejected this initiative and declared its nuclear program as peaceful.
