Indian officials are facing ridicule and criticism on social media after videos surfaced of foreign leaders eating nuts during the BRICS summit.

In a viral video on social media, Randhir Jaiswal was seen repeatedly taking out fruits from a box of fruits, licking his fingers and then extending his hand to take more fruits during the speech of Iranian President Masoud Al-Badzikian, these scenes quickly went viral on social media.

Not only Randhir Jaiswal, but Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval can also be seen eating dry fruits during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech at the BRICS summit.

After the above mentioned videos came out, the top Indian officials became a joke on social media, with users making fun of them and criticizing them.

It should be noted that the 18th BRICS summit was held on September 12 and 13 in New Delhi, in which several leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Meghzikian participated.
