Israel and Morocco announced to expand diplomatic relations.

According to the Israeli government, Israel and Morocco have agreed to open embassies and appoint ambassadors to both countries.

Morocco is one of four Arab countries that expanded ties with Israel in 2020 under agreements brokered by the United Nations.

Other Arab countries that have increased ties with Israel include the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.
