Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that it is a lie that levy has been stipulated in the agreement with the IMF.

During a press conference in Islamabad, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that he has been struggling for more than 2 months to end the levy. The levy has nothing to do with the price of petrol, because petrol is expensive everything becomes expensive.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami further said that the economy will be destroyed if petrol is not cheap, we have prepared suggestions to the government to abolish the levy, but they have no response to our suggestions.

He said that it is a lie that the agreement with the IMF stipulates levy, this is the 24th program of the IMF.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also said that the IMF delegation is coming here today, they are afraid of it, has the IMF said to give discount to the big landlords.

He said that where is it to impose fixed charges in electricity bills, by reducing the interest rate by 3 percent, the revenue of the levy will be met as it is.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the logic of increasing inflation by reducing the interest rate of the government is not correct, under these circumstances, it has ordered vehicles worth 6.6 billion rupees.
