
Families of Pakistanis held hostage by Somali pirates protested outside the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Karachi, during which 11 protesters, including 5 women, were released.
According to the police officials, the goods seized from the protesters have also been returned.
In the morning, relatives took to the streets to demand the release of their loved ones from the captivity of Somali pirates.
The protesters say that we are peacefully protesting for the safe recovery of our loved ones, lathi charging and arresting us is a sad act.
It should be noted that on April 21, Somali pirates kidnapped 19 crew members including 10 Pakistanis and demanded 3 million dollars for their release.
