Karachi gets its own ‘Spider-Man’, AI video takes social media by storm.

Pakistani director and AI filmmaker Sibghat Shaikh has created a short film with the help of artificial intelligence, in which Karachi is the center of Spider-Man’s story.

The video titled ‘Spider-Man Above Karachi’ shows a fictional Peter Parker living in Karachi and as the city’s very own Spider-Man fighting criminals, rescuing people and carrying out operations at various famous locations in the city.

In the video, Peter Parker describes himself as a filmmaker, but after being bitten by a spider, his life changes and he takes on the responsibility of protecting the city.

The film links the iconic Marvel character to local problems in Karachi, including mobile phone theft, robberies, building fires and floods.

According to the director, the project was developed with the help of AI and various post-production tools.

The video caught the attention of social media users, where many praised its concept, editing and creative use of AI.

One user commented that ‘Karachi urgently needs a Spider-Man’, another user, considering the situation in Karachi, said that the city needs a hero.
