In the Mir Raza murder case, the judicial commission issued notices of appearance to police surgeon Dr. Samia, head of the medical board, Prof. Naseem, and issued a written order for today’s hearing.
According to the written order of today’s hearing of the commission, the statements of Haitham, Raziq, SHO Kamran Qureshi were recorded, the statements of the initial witnesses were not provided to the commission.
According to the written order, on the first hearing, the police were directed to take witness statements under the Criminal Code, despite the instructions of the commission, it was not implemented. 161 statements of Raziq and Haitham, recorded on September 1, were submitted today.
The order said that the Additional Secretary Home has assured that all the records have been provided, the Additional Secretary Home should inquire whether there are any reports, if there are such reports, they should be submitted in sealed condition, SHO Adeel Afzal and Head Muharr Zeeshan must appear in the next hearing.
The next proceedings of the Judicial Commission will be held on September 8.
It may be noted that Mir Raza Ali Khan, a young man from Karachi, went missing from the Pakistan Employees Housing Society (PECHS) on July 28. He left home by online taxi at 4:09 AM. His body was found in Gulistan-e Johar 2 days later.
According to the police authorities, Mir Raza’s body was found in a very bad condition, there was a bullet in his chest, and all his social media accounts were closed 1 day before the body was found.
The deceased’s father said that Mir Raza was to be married on August 30 at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and he was very happy about his new life.
Flaws in Mir Raza Ali’s post-mortem report were pointed out on August 4 in Geo News’ program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath’.
In the program, the issue of post-mortem was again raised in front of police surgeon Dr Samia Syed and Mir Raza Ali’s father. Speaking at the programme, police surgeon Dr Samia Syed and Mir Raza Ali’s father, both expressed dissatisfaction over the preliminary post-mortem report.
Later, following a court order, Mir Raza was exhumed on August 8 and reburied on the same day after post-mortem.
According to the preliminary post-mortem report, Mir Raza was shot from behind, there were signs of torture on the body, ribs of Mir Raza Ali were broken, multiple injuries were found on the head and face, and there were black spots on the body.
According to the report, there are injury marks on the feet of Mir Raza, there are blood stains on the tissues of the lower part of the body, the report has identified a fracture and wound about 12 cm long on the right thigh of Mir Raza.
According to the preliminary post-mortem report, evidence of deep injury and fracture was found in the jaw area of Mir Raza, injuries were also found on the nasal bone and various parts of the face.
