Nepra has received a request to increase the price of electricity by 1 rupee 73 paise

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has received a request to raise the price of electricity by Rs 1.73 per unit.

According to Nepra sources, the Central Power Purchasing Agency has submitted a request to increase the price of electricity per unit.

According to Nepra officials, the application has been submitted under the August fuel price adjustment, which will be heard on September 29.

According to the sources, if the application is approved, there will be an additional burden of 29 and a half billion rupees on the electricity consumers. According to the government policy, the fuel price adjustment will be applied to consumers across the country including Karachi.
