Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi has once again presented his stand on the issue of linking himself to Disha Salyan’s death case.

In a detailed statement, he said that he never met Disha Salyan or Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray. Ever since his name was linked to the case, he has been facing online abuse and death threats.

Suraj’s statement came after the Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into Disha’s death in June 2020. The court directed the CBI to register an FIR in the matter. However, the court made it clear that no person should be treated as an accused unless proven.

He said he is repeating this again because people still don’t understand that I never met Disha or Aditya Thackeray directly or indirectly. Despite this, abuse and death threats were received online. People thought I was scared, but that’s not the case at all.

It may be recalled that Disha Salyan had briefly worked as late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager and died under mysterious circumstances in June 2020, a few days before Sushant’s death. She is said to have fallen from a building in Mumbai’s Malad area. His death was initially ruled accidental and the police investigation ruled out any foul play.

However, Disha’s father, Satish Salyan, has filed a petition for a fresh probe in the Bombay High Court. On September 2, 2026, the court ordered the CBI to investigate the matter and register an FIR.
