The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the Houthi group’s attacks on the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

The general secretariat of the organization has said in a statement that the aim of these attacks was to spread fear and panic among citizens, desecrate holy places and mosques and hurt the sentiments of Muslims around the world.

According to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, targeting holy places, mosques and civil facilities falls under the category of terrorism, which is against Islamic values ​​and international laws and norms.

Describing the desecration of holy places as unacceptable, the organization has stressed the need for effective action against those responsible and to stop them.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and also announced its support for Saudi measures to protect the holy places, citizens, national security and sovereignty.
