Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards conducted a joint anti-smuggling operation in Peshukan with the support of Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center.

According to ISPR, acting on actionable intelligence, an attempt to smuggle large quantities of contraband was foiled.

During the joint operation, a large quantity of liquor and illegal drugs were recovered which were handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal action.

ISPR says the successful operation is a reflection of the effective linkages between the agencies working together to prevent trafficking.

ISPR says that the operation is also an expression of determination to protect Pakistani maritime boundaries and land surface from illegal activities.
