Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and requested to postpone the march.

According to the spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif contacted Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on his arrival in Multan and requested him to postpone the long march.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman told the Minister that we do not want any kind of law and order problem or conflict with the government.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we have come out for the right of the people and the government has to give this right.

The spokesperson of Jamaat-e-Islami said that even if we postpone the march at the request of the government, we will not give up the right to protest.

It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami’s super train long march against petroleum levy has reached Multan.
