US Senator Bernie Sanders has urged Republican members to represent the people of their constituencies and oppose the war against Iran.

Bernie Sanders’ statement came after the US Senate rejected a resolution by Democrats to limit President Donald Trump’s authority to continue the war.

In a statement on social media platform X, Bernie Sanders has said that the vast majority of the American people want to end the ongoing war in Iran, but today almost all Republican members have stood with Trump and voted in favor of continuing the war.

He has asked the Republican members when they will represent the people of their constituencies and show the courage to oppose the war.

It should be noted that the Senate rejected the resolution by 49 votes to 50, with 4 Republican senators voting in favor of the resolution.

The resolution called on President Trump to end the war against Iran or seek authorization from Congress.
