Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, younger brother of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, passed away this morning (Monday).

A 10-day state mourning has been announced across Dubai for the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has said in a condolence message on the death of his brother that may Allah have mercy on Sheikh Ahmad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he is now with his Lord.

He has said that Ahmed has disappeared from sight but will never be away from prayers and hearts.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum has also prayed for his brother’s place in heaven and patience and peace for his family and loved ones.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has also expressed his grief over the death of his uncle and prayed for his uncle’s forgiveness.
