Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100 index has closed negative for the third consecutive day.
Share market volume was the lowest since May 20, with investors eyeing crude oil prices boosted by the Middle East situation and the September 14 monetary policy meeting.
In PSX, the index has fallen by 3 thousand 385 points in 3 days. 100 index today closed down 698 points at 171 thousand 943.
According to market sources, the price of Brent crude oil at $100 per barrel is a cause of concern for investors.
As rising crude oil prices continue to pass on inflation to the public, focus remained on September 14 and business volume was at a nearly 4-month low.
In the share market today, deals of 47 crore shares were settled at 22 billion rupees, the market capitalization has decreased by 62 billion rupees to 19 thousand 233 billion rupees at the close of business.
It should be noted that the market capitalization has decreased by 395 billion rupees in 3 days.
