Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani has said that the technical objections of shopkeepers and lawyers regarding the implementation of easy tax scheme should be removed immediately.

A review meeting of easy tax scheme was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani.

On this occasion, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani directed PRAL and FBR to immediately remove the technical objections of shopkeepers and lawyers regarding the implementation of the scheme.

He said to provide early FBR plates to shopkeepers who file returns, the scheme is unique for shopkeepers which is not available to any other business class.

Bilal Azhar Kayani, while addressing the meeting, added that it is hoped that more shopkeepers will be part of the scheme, after the easy tax scheme, there is no reason or justification for shopkeepers not to become filers.

He said that within one month of the scheme’s launch, 9806 shopkeepers have joined the scheme so far.
