Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that I think the situation has come where the Makkah Agreement has to be implemented.

In a conversation with Geo News program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada, the Defense Minister said that he could not go into details but Pakistan is bound to implement the Makkah Agreement.

He said that Pakistan has conveyed the message of Saudi Arabia to Iran, I do not think that Iran as a state will open any new front in the region.

Khawaja Mohammad Asif further said that even if there is no Makkah agreement, it is our duty to protect the holy places, if Makkah is attacked, there is no need for an agreement to protect it.

They said that the Makkah Agreement applies to us and we will do our duty, I think the situation has come where the Makkah Agreement has to be enforced.
