According to foreign media reports, an unfortunate incident took place during the match played between Al-Taawon and Al-Hilal in Burida, Saudi Arabia.
During a Saudi Pro League match, Portuguese footballer Ruben Neves was chanted in reference to his late former teammate Diogo Xuta, a video of which went viral on social media.
Commenting on a viral video on social media, Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded that chanting fans should be banned from football stadiums for life.
In the match, Al-Hilal defeated Al-Taawan 0-6, Ruben Neves played 75 minutes of the match, after which he was replaced by a substitute player.
It should be noted that Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva died in a car accident on July 3, 2025 in Zamora, northwestern Spain.
