UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that the wars that started in the last decade have had terrible and devastating consequences, with civilians being the most affected.

Addressing the General Assembly in New York, Antonio Guterres said that serious violations of human rights were committed during wars.

The head of the world organization said that hunger was used as a weapon in these wars, it is impossible to establish peace and economic stability with only military power.

He said that the world has to consider the disastrous situation of the Palestinian land, the destruction on the Palestinian land has never been seen before. The fear of genocide is increasing with the establishment of Jewish settlements in the occupied territories.

The Secretary General of the United Nations said that reforms in the Security Council are inevitable.
