PSX: Business on the last day of August turned negative, with the index up half a percent for the entire month

On the last day of August, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) had a negative business trend. The index has gained half a percent for the entire month.

On the last business day of August, the Hundred Index closed at 176,975 points, down 720 points. However, the index increased by 881 points in the entire month.

According to market experts, due to the uncertainty of the Iran-US war, the movement of the index for the entire month was 6000 points.

In the first decade of August, the index went up to the highest level of 182 thousand 347 on the possibility of a ceasefire, but for the remaining two decades, the index remained on the way to return.

In August, 15 billion shares were traded in the market for 708 billion rupees. The market capitalization increased by 74 billion rupees to 19 thousand 830 billion rupees during the month.
